Rich
Dixon (Guitar)
Rich Dixon was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and grew up learning
to play the guitar. At a very young age he and his friends played for
many bar mitzvahs and weddings in the Fairfield area. He also played
the baritone horn and taught guitar lessons.
As
a teenager he studied Jazz improvisation with Linc Chamberlain. In his
heart Rich has been a jazz musician ever since. When he was 17 and 18,
Rich attempted to study music at BYU but found it too frustrating. He
has opted to be self-taught.
He
toured with the Donny and Marie show and the Osmond Brothers show as
their lead guitar player. Rich is the envy of every guitar player in
the intermountain west. Rich composes, arranges and produces music for
film and video. He is the co-owner of Sleepless Productions. He is the
2001 Pearl Award Studio Musician of the Year and a Mercury Award nominee.
Rich has taught music courses at Brigham Young University and the University
of Utah.
Rick
lives with his family in Lehi, Utah. He enjoys being a part of Enoch
Train it reflects his religious feelings and sentiments. Enoch
Train's folk orientation has challenged him musically and keeps him
on his toes.
He
is a devoted husband and family man. He and his wife Sue have two daughters.
Georgia, 21, is married and about to make Rich a grandfather. Lily Hye
Soo is 13 and was born in the Wang Providence of South Korea. She emigrated
to the Dixon family when she was eight moths old.
