Home was Janice Andersen's musical training ground. Her mother and father
were great influences and greatly encouraged her musical direction,
and paid for her music lessons. Her early passion for music was gently
guided by the influence of her family.
Her
musical career began at five when she started in piano. At seven, she
picked up the violin and at this very young age, found her favorite
instrument. She loves to play the blue-grass fiddle and has won several
awards for her talent.
Janice
is an auditor for Worker's Compensation Fund in the State of Utah. She
also teaches violin lessons and in her extra time plays with Enoch Train.
"Music is my sanity in the drudgeries of life," says Janice.
"It gives me an opportunity to express myself and share my solace
with others."
Janice
plays the violin, piano, mandolin, bass guitar, viola, and organ. Her
biggest musical influence came from Karl Allred, her violin teacher
when she was young.
Janice
has been married for two years, has no children, but has Maggie the
puppy and plants that she has managed to keep alive. She enjoys horseback
riding, raquetball, and traveling. She is the Relief Society Chorister
in her LDS Ward.
